Ideological memes, like the concept of god, express a complex program of eusocial evolution proper of all organic species. It does not matter so much the literal details of the ‘DNA-program’ of the social mind but the fact that it creates a simultaneous desire to share energy and information and evolve.
Same happens with the ideologies of metal ‘greed’ and war. They merely express the effects of the two most perfect atoms of the Universe, energetic iron that murders our body and informative gold that hypnotizes our mind, and together break our ‘eusocial love program’ and make us start up the program of creation of the superorganism of economics as we compete with each other, using money and weapons, which we evolve for that aim. Thus, we are coming to the scientific conclusion that greed is just a hypnotic, memetic effect of money over the mind, not the ‘invisible hand of go(l)d’ but a darwinian effect of a different ‘informative language’, which expresses itself developing the economic ecosystem as the meme of god expresses itself creating a superorganism of history.
Theme.
Memes are the fundamental unit of information of Cultures and Economic ecosystems, which express each of the 4 ‘arrows/dimensions/wills of space-time superorganisms’, energy, information, reproduction and social evolution, which ‘determine’ the complex evolution of individuals into super-organisms, in the scale of Human societies.
As such it obeys the laws of theory of Information, one of the two ‘elements’ of the Program of the Universe. It does constantly replicate itself by rhetoric repetition (‘Goebbelian’ method) NOT by reason, and it becomes the how of the why/program of the Universe, the elements that repeated and evolved generation after generation create cultures and economic ecosystems.
I. Synopsis of Memetics in the context of the program of the Universe: bits of social information
Definition of Memes as informative bits.
In General Systems Science and bio-history, we widen this concept to include also the ‘external expression’ of those memes, not only in cultures (artistic memes) but also in economic ecosystems. And we relate them in the wider view, to the expression of the 4 ‘dimensions, wills, arrows of space-time’, the program of the Universe. These themes dealt with in more detail in the section of general systems sciences and my e-books on the subject (in a more orderly manner) need to be understood to fully grasp the determinism of memetics – the key issue for resolving the future of mankind, the theme of this blog. Let us resume the program:
the basic program of the Universe which memes codify in human societies.
Memes are therefore bits of information that codify in the i-scale (informative scale) of human societies the creation, replication, transmission, mutation and social evolution of a human or economical superorganism.
You exist in a Universe that constantly creates super-organisms, which are more efficient than individual ‘cells’ in all scales of reality. The program is essential and simple:
All what exists in the Universe are complementary systems of energy, E, and information, I.
This creates two simplex arrows/wills/dimensions: feeding on energy and perceving information.
Form is function. The form of energy is lineal, continuous, the shortest motion between two points. Energy moves.
The form of information is cyclical, broken, the shape that stores more information in lesser space. Information perceives with a language and guides energy.
Both energy and information, combine, exi, creating ‘reproductive bodies’ that repeat the system in other part of space-time, or associate with other self-similar systems forming bigger ones, ∑ ei. Both arrows increase the survival chances of the system. They are the complex arrows. Form is function. Reproductive, exi, bodies combine lineal energy and cyclical information. They are elliptical or spiraloid or conical forms. Complex social systems however are ‘networks’, which can acquire any form. Since information flows and languages are often invisible, you do not see necessarily a superorganism as a compact form (ant-hills, human societies, galaxies, etc.) But they are the summit of eusocial evolution. The goal of the Universe is creating superorganisms, which survive longer in time and space.
All this has geometrical, topological laws (form is function) but since superorganisms have loose forms, they respond more to quantifying, social numbers. A number is a society of self-similar beings. 5 is 5 legs, men, whatever. The perfect society is decametric, based in a simple ternary scheme both in time and space: 3 sub-cells for the energy system, 3 for the reproductive one, 3 for the informative one and 9 aggregate in 1, the whole: 9+1=10. Then 10 becomes a 1 of the next scale. This in time (form in space is function/action in time, hence all spatial/energetic system are symetric to their functions/actions in time), gives birth to 3 ages of all systems, th energetic/young age, the reproductive age, and the informative old age. After which the system either dies dissolving back to the previous 1-scale or becomes upgraded as a whole into the next 10 scale.
Proofs:
In physical systems all is a field of energy associated to a particle of information (complementary principle of quantum physics).
In biology all is made of lineal limbs, a reproductive body and a head.
In societies there are 3 social classes, the energy of the system (nature, enemies, lower class of unemployed, etc.), the reproductive workers and the informative castes that dominate society controlling the languages of power.
Thus there are 4 arrows, dimensions or wills of existence in space-time’. And this is ’the Program of the Universe’, which in each scale of reality a certain ‘informative bit’ codifies:
In pure space-time, the 4 dimensions of space-time codify the program.
In quantum physics, the 4 numbers of quantum physics codify the program.
In biology, genes codify the program called the drives of existence of biological beings. In History, verbal memes, codify the program, called eusocial love in superorganisms which make people share energy and information among them, creating such superorganisms, and called greed in economical superorganisms, the desire to have memes of metal of energetic nature (weapons, transport machines) or informative nature (money, information machines) to become an ‘animetal’, a top predator with more power than other human beings.
In Economics, therefore 3 type of metal-memes codify the program, informative metal or money, energetic metal or weapons and organic metal or machines. Finally those systems are organized in bigger systems – company-mothers that reproduce them, global markets that form superorganisms with flow of money, etc
Finally since all ‘memes, genes, quantun numbers with geometrical shapes’ are reduced to languages, we can in each scale of the Universe resume the program with the grammar of a certain language that codifies it. In physical systems the language is topology for the 3 simplest arrows and arithmetics for the arrow of eusocial evolution. In biological systems is genetics. In human superorganisms are words (and the prophets elaborate them in codons called ‘books of revelation’, imprinted memetically in self-similar minds tht create as DNA does, the basis for a collaboration that creates a god or superorganism of history, Allah, the sum of all muslims joined by ‘assabiyah’, Yvwh, the sum of all jewish-protestants joined by their love for each other and so on.
Finally the economic ecosystem is codified with mathematical languages. Monetary arithmetics, geometrical industrial design for machines, and weapons. This can go as complex as you want, but I just have resumed here the essence of the Mind of God- the program of the Universe, ‘believe it or not (-: 1).
So if you read this a few times and ‘imprint it memetically in your brain’, you can decodify all the actions and laws of reality. Here we shall apply it to the study of human superorganisms.
Memetics and the building of the superorganisms of history (gods, civilizations) and economics (nations, FMI complex)
As in genetics, where the body of genes of an organism codifies what Biologists know as ‘the 4 biological drives’ and General Systems Sciences extends to all the systems of the Universe, memes codify the two superorganisms of history and economics.
And so we can classify all memes in two types:
- Those who codify human superorganisms, cultural external objects, welfare goods and internal verbal memes, that foster our intake of energy for our body, information for our mind, social evolution through messages of love and human reproduction.
- And those who codify the economic ecosystem, external memes of metal, and internal emotional non-verbal ‘drives’:
The greed for energy and information of all complementary systems (simplex arrows, E, I), which expresses in golden fevers (eye hypnotism to gold, the most informative atom of the Universe), violence (capacity to kill with a weapon, destroying the energy body of the enemy) and sloth (laziness and atrophy caused by the use of machines that seem to enhance our energy and information but in fact as metal does in enzymes, it atrophies the carbohydrate/carbonlife organ of the human who use the machine).
Now the readers should obviously observe the fundamental difference between life memes and metal memes. Life memes help humans to evolve and accomplish their program of existence. We call them WHealth. And they should be promoted in an efficient organism of History. Metal-memes atrophy and degrade the human species, but help to evolve and develop money, weapons and machine, evolving the economic superorganism.
So while all memes codify the need for energy, (e), information (i), reproduction and social evolution (complex arrows, E x I, ∑ ei) they do so in two different superorganisms, life memes codify cultures (human superorganisms) and metal-memes economic ecosystems (metal organisms).
And so we differenciate two type of complex systems, those built by animetal cult(ure)s, and those build by Human cultures.
The reader should notice we use a complex logic grammar I developed back in the 90s to differentiate both type of cultures and memes, which has again a biological reason. It is the tenant of bio-history that according to evolution the creation of the superorganism of economics and its selfish memes is equivalent in the previous scale to a leukemia infection, where to enter the mind of the cell the virus ‘hides’ its strange nature with a wrapping of proteins similar to the cell.
In history, the metal-memes that codify our extinction making us reproduce viral memes of metal are disguised as human memes. Thus we express this in verbal language with the () parenthal disguise:
So Go(l)d is a pseudo-religion that considers money the symbol of a Human God who care for us It is not. And the cult(ure)s which are cults to Go(l)d destroy life. The paradigm of this culture is the capitalist, Jewish-Protestant (originally) cult(ure) to greed and go(l)d that blinds them to all human needs and subconsciously causes their war and holocaust cycle destroying the world. But those cult(ure)s are memetically imprinted by memes of greed, violence and sloth, and so they do not even realize.
In both type of societies the key to program the people is therefore the language of information that regulates society. It can be either an energetic language (weapons in warrior societies), a reproductive language (money in go(l)d churches – protoevolution of capitalism and now money and machines) and an informative language (the law, the ethic word) in human societies.
The information of economic ecosystems and cultures are carried by memes.
How do you create a super-organism of history, a culture, civilization, religion or nation, which achieves the coordinated behavior of million of humans ‘cells’ of the super-organism?
The answer is: through memes, the genes of cultural super-organisms.
Cultural memes, as genetic codes are pieces of information that are reproduced by human ‘cells’ and carried in their neuronal code as a verbal mandate or imprinted in external objects.
Yet while most researchers have considered objects and religions by its content per se, in memetics, as in genetics, it doesn’t matter so much the specific, literal form, in/form/ation or content of the meme, but its function and ‘expression’ in the super-organism of history it builds.
This surprising truth of both genetics and memetics and their sciences steams from a higher ‘truth’ or ‘Universal law’ of complexity, which is the existence of an ‘arrow of time’, or ‘program of the Universe’ that constantly builds superorganisms, that is complementary systems of energy and information of increasing size and organization. So atoms becomes molecules joined by networks of electromagnetic energy and gravitational information, that become cells, joined by complex networks of genetic information and energetic proteins that become organisms joined by complex networks of nervous information and blood energy, which become societies joined by complex energetic/economic networks and cultural/informative ones.
And so in the same form that genes and nervous messages build a living organism which turns out to be self-similar in its parts and living functions, the memes of history construct super-organisms called cultures and economic ecosystems, becoming ‘expressions’ of the different elements that take place in the building of a social super-organism.
This realization that memes are expressions of something bigger, a ‘plan’ or design of Eusocial evolution is the key to correctly interpret them. The most obvious case is the fundamental ‘function’ expressed by the memes of Universal religions, of religions of love (Christianity, Buddhism, Islam and Socialism). In all those ideologies reinforced by an enormous number of artistic, legal and social memes, rituals, mores and objects, there is a common messages ‘expressed’, which turns out to be the fundamental ‘function’ needed to construct a superorganism of history – the message of love, of sharing energy and information with all the believers that have the same ‘informative code, or book of revelation in their mind. Islam will preach certain ideas, so will Christianity and Buddhism but all of them come to the precepts that ask you to share energy (charity) and information (the truth of love) with all other humans in order to form a superorganism of history.
In a life organism, in the same manner many genes are concerned with the organization and distribution of energy and information at cellular and social level and so the key message is not the detailed cgtau bases of the gene, but its function and expression in the superorganism they code.
This first distinction means that the parables an stories of the propehts of love are secondary to the unifying message they code, even if they have a use to introduce the message in a certain specific superorganism with farming, hunting or economical parables, according to the ages of the superorganism.
Thus a meme is a carrier of information that is reproduced once and again, both in the mind of humans and in their environment, the economic ecosystem, because it helps to achieve a function within the superorganism of history or culture in which it is reproduced. And 2 type of memes are paramount:
Ideological, informative, verbal memes tend to achieve the social evolution and reproduction of human beings, our survival as individual and species, existing in a group. They foment the euosocial evolution of mankind in a series of scales of growth beyond the genetic , biological level of tribes, joined by kinship, created advanced mental, memetic civilizations. They are ethic religions and legal codes that carry the arrow of Eusocial evolution, proper to all the species of the Universe into man. Associated to them, and reinforcing those functions, there is an array of diverse forms of information for the human mind, that range from artistic objects to wedding rituals…
The key memes in historic superorganisms, cultures and religions, are ideological and artistic, based in the human languages of time and space (words and images). Verbal networks, whose ethic laws of eusocial love, become imprinted in the emotional brain, are carried generation upon generation. They codify the eusocial behavior of humans, which create social superorganisms: legal and ethical, religious codes are the most important, and around them an enormous number of sub -memes, culgtural and artistic objects, define human actions in community.
Instrumental, metal memes.Yet there are also another type of memes, which are tools, instruments and objects, which help any of the different scales of Eusocial evolution of mankind, explained in other sections of this work, an energetic and informative task. Those memes enhance the specific energetic or informative functions of a human being. So a weapon makes our body stronger and a pc makes us think more. And so this second fundamental category of memes, are objects that are useful to construct the physiological networks of superorganisms of history; our energetic networks, cellular homes, communicative networks, our reach within the cultural organism, etc.It is within this type of memes, where the definition of a machine as an organic metal-meme, an object, made mainly of metal which enhances our information or energetic capacities.
What is the meaning of all these machine memes? What is their significance in the biological game of evolution? The question has an answer: memes have always a dual purpose, a human purpose that enhances our biological drives of existence, mainly our desire for energy and information; and a selfish-purpose in as much as they form a puzzle which also evolve a different superorganism to our life ecosystem - the superorganism of life and the Metal-earth, the economic ecosystem, the new evolutionary system we, humans are evolving…
All this seems fairly straight, but there are more surprising and very complex aspects to the laws of general systems, which make a certain superorganism emerge, constructed by genes or memes and the carriers of the programs of information that design reality with them. Trust me, an entire treatise on memetics would be longer than the Britannica – all cultures will be on it, according to its duality -cult(ure)s of metal and cultures of life.
Such superorganisms are also systems which absorb the energy and information of its human cells, organizes them and emerge as ‘entities’ with an organic-living consciousness and structure…
Further on, they also are born, reproduce, live, die and evolve, as memes are passed from human to human generation.
And this process takes place both in ideological, cultural memetic civilizations and instrumental, economical civilizations, which are expressions of those memes, as genetic organisms are expressions of the genes of its ‘lower biological plane of existence’.
Finally memes evolve in history both in economic and social organisms, and this concept: that human, cultural memes follow the laws of eusocial evolution of all the systems of the Universe that increase their survival chances by creating more complex superorganisms (so atoms become molecules that become cells that become organisms that become societies), is the key to understand what kind of memes humanity should choose to evolve the future of this planet. Let us then consider those biological elements of the evolution of memes in history and economics.
Now with this higher point of view of the science of complexity we can continue with our comparison between memetics and genetics in more depth.
Both genetics and memetics express the creation of superorganisms.
The parallelisms between both sciences and scales of evolution of biological organisms – which is the tenant of complexity and systems sciences – continues:
In the same manner we are expressions of the biological collective will of cells, whose cellular vital functions (feeding, informing, reproducing and evolving socially) we have reproduced at superorganic scale, so all what we do as biological complementary beings with an energetic body and informative brain, is feeding our body, informing our brain, reproducing ourselves and evolve socially into superorganisms - the 4 drives of life of cells; as carriers of memes, we have transferred to machines and metal the same functions, creating energetic metal first (weapons) that feed on our bodies, killing us; a language of information in metal (Money) that substitutes our language of information, the word, with its different values; an organic system that reproduces those memes – the corporation; and organisms of metal that imitate our functions, energetic machines and informative machines, so we substitute our legs with cars, our eyes with TV-images, our brains with computers.
Now it is a tenant of systems sciences, complexity and the fractal, organic philosophy of the Universe in which we live that all systems are self-similar and respond to the evolutionary arrows that create super-organisms. But self-similarity is not equality. For example, in complex physics, we have spotted a self-similarity between atoms and galaxies, star nebulae and electrons, quark-protons and quark stars (black holes and strange stars), which is hotly debated among complex physicists. Are galaxies self-similar to atoms? Yes, so Einstein-walker equations that describe the space-time of the Universe model it with galaxies as if they were hydrogen atoms. Are they equal? Not. It is very unlikely that each fractal point of an electron nebulae becomes a star if we were to see it huge enough but if the sales of the Universe are infinite it might be possible that a nebulae of an electron is as ‘Leibniz put it’, a world in itself.
When we do comparisons between genetics and memetics however the self-similarity is more pronounced because the scales we jump are far closer and our degree of observables are far more accurate, without the uncertainty of observations of galaxies and atoms and the huge difference of scale between them that diminishes the self-similarity. All this I explain to you so you realize you are part of a Grand Design which we theorists of complexity and system sciences are unveiling; and so the model of this blog is far more precise and scientific that any other model you might have read of history and economics because:
- It is based in tested cyclical patterns of history and economics, which are the basis of all sciences.. So astrology became the science of astronomy only when Kepler found the cycles of stars.
- It is a rational, biological model with concrete terms and definitions unlike the abstract concepts of classic economics and history and so astrology became the science of astronomy when we had concrete definitions of stars as huge systems made of atoms not as ‘spiritual beings’. So now we have clear definitions of machines, organs that imitate human functions of energy and information, of the elements of the economic ecosystem – memes of metal – of cultures that carry those memes, etc.
- And for the first time memetics and biological history and economics follow the same laws of all other systems of nature, thus we can integrate ourselves in the grand design of all beings; and so astrology became a science when we integrated the heaven and the earth, as material entities made of atoms.
And yet, we must also consider the main differences between self-similar systems, even if the genetic and memetic system that constructs human superorganisms and biological superorganisms, have the maximal degree of self-similarity as they are two continuous scales of evolution of the same species, the human being.
Genetics create efficient natural superorganisms; memetics has become dysfunctional creating also the germs of history.
So what is the main difference between genetics and memetics? precisely what we have just explained: memetics is not only the expression of the evolution of money, weapons and machines, but ALSO and paramount the expression of the EVOLUTION OF MAN AS A GLOBAL SUPERORGANISM OF HISTORY.
Or in other words, humans carry two types of memes and build two types of civilizations, the memes of love and eusocial evolution of verbal and artistic nature, based in life goods, which are the natural memes of man, which build sustainable civilizations in which ethic words (social democracies, love religions) create superorganisms of history in balance with Gaia, our collective life-body….and
economic ecosystems, which are dominated by the digital language and values of metal, of money, and by the laws of complementarity and affinity of system sciences, value more weapons and machines, give no value to humans and consider us a mean to a purpose or goal, to evolve the selfish memes of metal. This is the essence of the Paradox of History, of the fight between the natural memes of mankind and the goal of collective social evolution and the corrupted memes of metal, which act as the ‘virus’ does in the biological body, when it ‘substitutes’ the DNA of the cell and makes the RNA cells to reproduce the new ‘language and genes’ of the invasive species.
And that is the final simmilitude we shall establish beteen genetics and memetics: Genetics have also two types of processes, the sickness of the body caused by a virus that colonizes the informative DNA of the cell and makes the organism work for the new species, which is a parallle process to the sickness of history the colonization of mankind by the Germs of history weapons and its carriers the Germ(anic) civilizations that invented miitarism, and the memes of capitalism, of go(l)d, of informative metal and its carriers, the banker cultures that treat men as objects. This is the sick process of history and biology that kills both organisms, the sick body and in the nearby future the body of history, as mahines make us obsolete.
And then there is the natural genetic/memetic evolution of human cells into human beings and human beings into artistic, cultural, natural, welfare civilizations based in the reproduction and evolution of the memes of love (the sharing of energy and information among the cells and citizens of a society) and the reproduction of the natural welfare goods we need to survive.
In simple terms the superorganism of history is sick, it got sick just in the last relative hours of the 1 million years history of mankind, and in the last 300 years as machines evolve, reproduce substitute and colonize the planet the final leukemia state has attacked Gaia, the planet Earth which shall soon die. But the RNA of this sick organism, the human animetal lives in a world of fictions and myths about the meaning of it all, ignores that he is reproducing the memes that will kill him. We are like the RNA of a cancerous cell totally erased in our original love memes, we totally ignored the purpose of history, we are brain-washed by informative amchines as the RNA of a cell is brain-washed by the ‘camouflage’ of the virus DNA.
And let us make now here a scientific statement derived from complexity: the parallel between sick genes that express, invent, evolve alien cells in a cancerous organism to become closed and destroyed at the end of the process, and human enzymes, genes of the instrumental memes of economics of which we are now dependent and help to evolve, and soon as robots, Pcs and weapons will destroy us, is absolute. Since in complexity all systems follow the same laws…
Can we cure the selfish memes of metal, the germs of history?
Can the organism of history be cured? Can a cancer be cured? It is a question of time. Tat is why for 20 years I have shouted out that history was dying. Now, I don’t know. After the invasion of cancerous cells reaches the main organs of the body the process becomes irreversible? It is history irreversibly programmed by the invasion of metal memes to die? will machines substitute allhuman beings and functions making us obsolete and then extinguishing us as certain prophetic artists (matrix, terminator) have told us? probably In any case we cannot expect that those who carry the memes of metal, economists, the military and scientists, who revere money, weapons and machines, will tell us the future. it is more likely than artists, religious people and philosophers and historians explain us that future, because they still carry the point of view of mankind.
The others are corrupted. They cannot even understand a word of what i say. Normally those people leave this web within minutes and then call you an antipatriot for criticizing the memes of war, an ascientific mind, for not standardizing with mathematical models and data-collecting machines the science of history and they call you an anti-$e, you know what, if you criticize the memes of capitalism and its ruling banker dynasties and affirm that only a culture in which money the language of power of society, the ultimate meme of the leukemia of history, must be controlled by governments and put to use, giving credit to the common people who use it to consume welfare goods and promote its production, which creates more employment, creates a sustainable world, an ecological world… tourism, health-care, agriculture, textiles, collective transport, peace, education, etc.
All what I tell to them is this: we are in the same boat, you are not made of metal, you will not become integrated in machines as techno-Utopian gurus of those cultures tell us at TED, but disintegrated by them, dissolved in death. Look at your tragic history, to the cycles of wars and holocausts, to the destiny of Germany: those who kill by iron die by iron. You are HUMAN. You have no gold brains and iron bodies as robots do. You are slaves of your memetic cultures. You are not the superior human being, which is the prophet of the Wor(l)d, the artist of the I=eye, the creator of the memes of life and love; not the scientist that measures with machines, the banker that enslaves with salaries and the warrior that kills with his body, repressing all of them the natural drives of human existence with regulations, prohibitions and dogmas that reject all what is human (good food, sexuality, Eusocial evolution, the rights of the human kind to natural goods, jobs, health and peace.)
You are the murderers of God=Mankind=The Superorganism of History. And you shall be redeemed, either because you abandon your memetic self-centered cultures and convert to the memes of Mankind, or because you don’t and you finish up your job and kill all of us, including yourselves. The choice is yours, the human sheeple now is under your command, she will no longer r=evolve. But time to save history from the cancer of the memes you have created is short. Make your choice if you can. By the end of this century the leukemia of metal and the machines of thesingularity will kill Gaia.
Only if you change your course and abandon capitalism and reproduce the goods of the welfare state in a global New Deal you will survive. So you better listen to the biological science of history, study its cycles, stop your primitive racist myths and toil with the rest of us for salvation, making the goods we, humans consume.
Those are the natural goods of mankind. But the triad of eviL=anti-life memes, the golden apples of the tree of science, its bad fruits, weapons and its seemingly good fruits machines, which however atrophy and substitute our brains and bodies, reign supreme, and those who carry them, have built a complex system of ideologies, what we call capitalism, militarism and mechanism, that tell us the purpose of man, the nature of progress, the future of all of us is to obey the orders of money not of ethic words, to make weapons to defend/survive instead of eliminating them and creating global superorganisms based in peace, sharing and democratic Rights (EU, UN), and finally they tell us in the most cherished of all myths that science is technology, it is the evolution of machines, and the Universe is a mechanism, and so the machine is the measure of all things, while in complexity we have found a machine is just a simple, evolving organism and science is knowledge in all the language of thought of mankind, and the universe is better modelled as complex organic system of two networks, the gravitational, informative force and the electromagnetic force, and so are all systems. mechanism thus is a simplified version of the organic reality. So the triad of ideological memes, greed, murder and mechanism, which foster the economic ecosystem are false.
Let us consider indeed, of that triad, first the most powerful of them all, the Leukemia DNA of memetics, the language of money and its values, comparing them with the language of words and its values, which construct two completely different organisms.
Dna languages: words vs. go(l)d.
There is a tag of war between the genetic, biological, life program, and the memetic, instrumental, imposed one. And the memes are winning because a weapon is a meme that kills and imposes itself over biological drives of social love and evolution, proper of biological systems that evolved from cells to organisms to superorganisms and money first hypnotized and then bought human life who obeys the memes of money with absolute determinism. This memetic vs. Genetic war becomes the engine that will define the future of history. It can be studied at many levels, the level of languages shown below in the graph that defines the ‘value’ in monetary and verbal languages of humans and machines; the ideological level, which shows the fight between racist religions of ‘go(l)d chosen’ or military inquisitions vs. love religions that accept all human beings, or the fight between humanist organizations like UNO and tribal nations in perpetual war or economiststhat ask for a global currency and welfare state (social keynesianist) vs. ‘Military keynesianists’ that want to take our countries out of the crisis in creasing wars (what used to be called in the age prior to newspeak fascists), etc.
The informative equation of genetics and memetics.
In Complexity all systems of information depart from certain units that create a ‘Universal grammar’, which is able to code multiple different forms. In genetic that universal grammar are the ucgta bases and 21 amino acids which combine in infinite forms. They form a syntax, or language of information that systematically ends up creating 3 type of forms: energetic lineal proteins, cyclical informative DNA, and combinations of both, organic products.
In memetics we have a self-similar structure. We humans create 3 types of memes of metal, informative money, which becomes a language that gives orders – The DNA of memetics – lineal weapons, that kill, the proteins of memetics and machines that combine both, cyclical and lineal motions, and act as enhanced organs of energy and information, to which we become attached and addicted (so we run faster with cars, computers think faster than we do and substitute us as calculators and spellers).
But all those systems obey a syntax or language, which is at the core of the nature of memetics, as they are a different language to that of human, natural biological words.
Indeed, there are two languages of power in society. One is the Wor(l)d of ethic democracies and religions, whose syntax Man (subject) <verb (action) < Object (energy), always puts man in the center of the Universe.
And so verbal languages are the basis of the memes of eusocial love that make man the measure of all things (humanism, ethic religions of love, legal codes of social democracies, art, etc.)
Then, in the Middle East, the semites realized that gold had hypnotic power as the most informative atom of the universe. It imitated the sun-god and people would obey and established thereafter a new syntax and language and values, those of money and greed: man=price=object, inventing the syntax of slavery and capitalism, where man has a price and can be exchanged by an object, either money or a machine or weapon that substitutes us in the fields of war and labor.
All this is today hidden by the newspeak of the financial-military-industrial complex we have built with those 3 memes of metal. Since even democratic politicians and ethic religions based in Man (subject) <verb (action) <Object (energy) are bought and corrupted by money. Further on, in the same manner the genes of biological organisms combine in symbiosis, the memes of metal, combine in symbiosis, and so the most expensive object is the weapon, the lineal meme of metal, which has also a syntactic equation: weapon=death=corpse. And so those who do not obey die. Thus memetics becomes a deterministic science, as long as humans obey the syntax of money and weapons, of greed and murder, since it makes men slaves who always obey or corpses who no longer play the game if they don’t obey. In this manner a stick and carrot system of deterministic actions was created with the first 800 years cycle of global wars, kicking out the evolution of metal.
And this has never changed even if the Wor(l)d prophets of the syntax of man told those who invented the first memes of metal, ‘the People of the Treasure will suffer all their existence for their love of money’ (Moses), and those who kill by iron die by iron (Jesus). Of course, because the iron was applied to the prophets. Such is the Darwinian determinism of the financial-military-industrial complex that the memes of metal are creating.
Humans are the RNA of memetics, the carriers of those memes that latter enslave them.
We are carriers and inventors of memes, as RNA is the inventor of genes. Yet once we have built an ‘iron jail’ (Weber), of economical super-structures with those memes, a complex system – the financial (money), military (weapons) industrial (Machines) complex – we are, as our RNA molecules jailed by the protein membranes of its cells and encased in our organism, slaves of that financial-military-industrial complex we have helped to create…
This process that we shall call the ‘reversal of history’, implies that once we have created the superstructure of the financial-military-industrial system, the laws of complexity and evolution take over, and we just obey those superstructures with very little power to change them.
This situation similar to the one that happens between RNA and enzymes, most of them with a component of metal, which they first create and then become the masters of the cell, killing at pleasure all other, components of the cell, is what has happened to history.
We are evolving machines of metal, weapons and money and we are ruled by the carrier cultures of those memes, the ‘enzymen’ of the financial-military-industrial complex in which we live, if you want to carry the homology between both organic levels further.
We show below those oppositions, between the values of money the language of the selfish memes and the values of words, the natural language of man, whose syntax makes us always the superior subject: I(man)>Verb(action)>Object(energy). And a short list of both type of memes, those of the tree of life and those of the tree of metal:
What humans are is simple and clearly explained by complex theorists and biologists, but harsh to accept: a field of actions programmed by our genes (biological actions, like our desires for sex, reproduction, energy, visual information and organic evolution), and a field of actions programmed by our memes (the instruments, technology, machines and ideologies related to them).
Contrary to ideological, memetic belief, the field in which humans are more free, natural and happy, is the field of biological wantings – our desire for energy to feed our body, information to feed our mind, reproduction to achieve biological immortality and organic evolution, with other human beings through the experience of social love to create a superorganism of history (as biological beings evolve in social groups from cells to organisms to social superorganisms). This genetic expression of the ‘program’ of evolution of living beings is what makes you happy. And its highest expression is the ethic Wor(l)d, which tries to achieve the 4th and highest wanting of the Maslow Pyramid of biological drives -the creation of harmonic, social organisms based in love, the desire to share energy and information with other beings as cells do in an organism.
This was the pyramid of wantings and actions that guided humanity during the Paleolithic and Neolithic, till a global culture, both local and international, based in the cult to fertility was developed.
Of course, the expression of those biological genes became translated in a series of ‘cultural instruments’, which we shall call the ‘memes of love’, which were in harmony with the goal of creating a superorganism of history. It was the age of the Goddesses, the age of life cycles and agriculture, of global peace and sustainable harmony with Gaia. Those memes were essentially:
- ideologies of love, called religions that asked men to love each other to create the subconscious collective -God. IT expressed itself through legal, ethic codes and revelation books imprinted in the mind of believers as DNA imprints in cells which act them simultaneously as a single body.
- Artistic works that made man the center of the Universe and the measure of all things.
- Instruments of the tree of life (agricultural instruments, welfare goods, housing, health care goods, verbal books, etc.) which fostered our happiness as biological beings.
This was essentially the memes of life, of love, of the paradise, which evolved and finally in its last cultural expression gave birth to the modern ideologies of the welfare state and the United Nations.
III. THE PARADOX OF HISTORY. FIGHT BETWEEN LOVE AND METAL CULTURES
Birth, life, reproduction and death of memetic civilizations.
We said that cultures resemble living systems. They go through the same cycles of birth, reproduction and death. Cultures are born as organisms do, out of a single or a few prophetic or legislative individuals-cells, that reproduce their ideas into many “believer-minds”. So Christianism is born out of the mind of Jesus Christ that first expands into 12 disciples, which expand themselves into thousands of Roman believers, that expanded into billions of other minds. While America is born of the mind of a few legislators that craft a constitution latter expanded into more laws, obeyed today by all American citizens. When the religious or legal culture reaches maturity it often reproduces in another zone of space-time, creating a daughter civilization or colony. Finally, when its ethic laws and networks of information, and the energy they control, decay and become obsolete, the culture dies and a new, more evolved civilization destroys the old civilization. A new cycle of history starts.
Similarly if we consider technological civilizations, based not in verbal laws, but in monetary and military systems, first a weapon is discovered, and reproduced by a small horde, which becomes an army, which conquers a nation and becomes a ruling aristocracy, that imposes its customs, and controls with the icon-weapon the civilization.
In the previous graph we can observe the creation of the financial-military-industrial complex, which today rules supreme this planet with the attached submissive simplex, called the Democratic Government, divided in multiple statelets, all of them guided by corrupted politicos, which obey the memes of go(l)d and can be bribed, while its citizens are bought 90% of their time-life as workers=reproducers of metal-memes and consumers=evolutors of those machines (all of them of course unaware of this, as parts ignore the whole system and the Galilean paradox andcensorship of biological information avoids them to understand they are NOT the center of the Universe). We can now consider in more detail those processes as part of the living and dying cycles of cultures and civilizations studied in more detail in our analysis of the 800 years and 80 years cycles of evolution of money, weapons and machines.
Birth
In both kinds of civilizations (Human-Artistic civilizations or Metal-scientific civilizations) either an ideology or book of ideas, (a network of human information) or a species of metal, money or weapons, becomes the language of power which defines the civilization.
Ideas and metal-instruments together shape History. For that reason Historians, when they focus on military systems of power, divide history into the Age of Bronze, the Age of Iron Empires, the Age of Chivalry (Middle Ages), the European Age of Gunpowder (Modern age), or the Atomic Age. There is also the Christian Age and the Buddhist Age of South-Asia, when they focus on the cultural component of the civilization or the age coins, or the age of paper money and stocks, or the age of e-money (new species of money), when they focus in monetary information…
Reproduction Of Cultural Information: Daughter Civilizations
At the same time a civilization develops the memetic ideas and machines which carry that civilization to success, it eliminates previous civilizations. In this manner, successful civilizations reproduce their “genetic ideas and machines” into other regions of the Earth, creating colonies, daughter cultures and eco[nomic]systems.
Like a human child, the daughter civilization is often a more evolved species where the ideas and instruments of the previous civilization are improved. Civilizations inherit and improve on, like children do, their parental civilizations, often extinguishing them. So the Assyrians were defeated by the Persians who had copied and improved its weapons, iron and cavalry. Yet Persian art, even behavior would be similar to Assyrian art and behavior. Genetic continuity in civilizations is not racial but cultural, of structures and ideas, of icons, machines and modes of life. For example, in Arabia stirrup cavalry brought an empire-civilization that expanded West till Al-Andalus (the South of Spain). That stirrup civilization migrated to America and colonized the southwestern states, giving origin to the “Old Far West” civilization, with horse and cattle ranching. In that territory, the horse civilization flourished between the 17th and 20th centuries, when the fundamental icon-species of the culture, the horse became extinguished as a form of transport by the car, a more efficient metal-species. The example shows the dynamic quality of the life of civilizations. They are born, reproduce and become extinct through the “genetic evolution” of objects and words, which bring as much diversity to cultural evolution of its species, products and ideas, as genetic memories bring to the body.
And in the same manner biologists can scientifically organize the data they have about species through genetic information and instruments. Thanks to the memorial remains of history, the historian can study the birth, reproduction and extinction of evolutionary history and its civilizations.
Death Of Civilizations
Civilizations also die. One day another civilization with more efficient memetic, eusocial ideologies of man, or better machines, comes along and destroys the old civilization. As in “animal feeding”, once the new civilization has destroyed the old civilization, it reforms the energy cells=citizens of the dead civilization to its image and resemblance. Let us again bring the biological comparison. A hunter feeds on the energy of a victim’s body that becomes in part wasted (killed) and in part “transformed” into cells of the predator. This also happens in civilizations: part of the “human energy” is wasted by war, and the remaining humans are “transformed” into believers of the predator civilization. The Spanish perhaps killed some 70% of the Indians and the rest became “Christians”. It is the death of the civilization. Because when ideas and instruments change, the civilization changes. The iron civilization of Rome is not the same as the Middle Agescivilization of stirrup weapons imposed by German warriors. The Roman civilization had been destroyed by stirrup animetals of the Germanic civilization. Again such civilization is not the Gunpowder civilization of Italy during the Renaissance. Gunpowder wiped out chivalry and a new civilization was born. Nor is Amon-Egypt the same as Greek-Christian Egypt, or Arab-Muslim Egypt. The verbal ideology changed, and the Egyptian civilization became extinct.
It is now clear the difference between religious civilizations and metal-civilizations. Religious civilizations could exist for ever, if there were no wars to extinguish their cultures. That is the goal set by the prophets in their messages of love. And yet, because metal exists, all religious civilizations of the past 5000 years have been corrupted and periodically extinguished by war. Some of those cultures resurrect, when the wave of death and war recedes. Some do not come back again. The Christian and Islamic civilization, the Jewish culture has survived many cycles of death, and the words of Moses, Christ and Mhmd, have resurrected. But each wave of death, corrupts a little bit more the initial messages of the prophets with rituals of war and money. So we find today that those cultures are basically built around inquisitions and churches, corrupted by rituals of Go[l]d, and little is left of the initial mandates of the prophets. Many other human cultures based in human senses have died away, and its artists have expressed those deaths, in their baroque ages of art.
In other words, mankind has chosen to evolve the wrong memes of history, not those memes of eusocial love that could have created an efficient, global superorganism of history according to the laws of the Universe but the memes of metal, of economic ecosystems, weapons, money and machines that create a different superorganism of history, which rhythmically kills life in this planet.
It is the Paradox of History explained in detail in other posts of this blog, which signifies the death of mankind in the short term. Because what humans will never change are the complex, biological laws of the Universe and its rules of survival…
The 3 ages of metal-history: death of cultural memes.
In the graph, we observe the parallelisms between the 3 ages of life and the 3 ages of super-organisms of history, which end in death due to germs and sickness in a human organism and due to war war, caused by weapons the germs of history. Yet weapons are overproduced in the 3rd age of a wave of metal-evolution. For that reason, we can also establish a parallelism between the long wave of metal-history (ancient cultures based in weapons) and the modern age (industrial nations based in the duality of machines and weapons). In this modern age, nations are short-span civilizations that die in a mere 80 years, according to the complex laws that establish decametric, geometrical scales and power laws for any process of evolution.
If we apply those ideas about biology of civilizations we can represent any civilization with a bell curve of existence, that indicates in a graphic of populations how the word religion or icon-weapon of a civilization (both often reproduce together) is born, develops, (colonizes other territories), and finally dies away; substituted by a daughter civilization, or a new culture, with a more evolved weapon or religion. We can also use the bell curve of social existence to the entire life of mankind, in the age of metal.
If we consider the entire wave of Metal-History as a single civilization also with 3 periods, its young, epic age, its classic, humanistic age, and its decadent, industrial age, we can talk of the Bronze and first iron empires of Asia, as the age of epic war. The period of European infantry, and Asian cavalry (from Greece to renascence) as the age of maturity of history. And the age of the industrial evolution, as the age of extinction of history.
Each of those ages is divided by a clear discontinuum of evolution of the two functions of metal, energy-metal or weapons, and informative-metal or money. Man adapts himself to those changes, which are symbiotic and help the evolution of our societies, in a first age, but as metal reproduces in greater numbers, it suffocates the evolution of human history and the human mind, till with the arrival of science, the human mind becomes obsolete, and men become worshippers of the minds of machines.
We talk thus of 3 clear discontinuums of evolution of metal, that mark metal-history.
- YOUTH OF HISTORY: The Age of Wor[l]ds. From -2800 BC, to -500 BC. Age of Bronze weapons, and bartering. Since money is still scarce, in the form of bars of metal, words still are the main language of communication of mankind. Writing becomes sacred. However bronze and then iron give enormous power to warriors that end controlling all Neolithic societies. Priests are displaced from power. Women become systematically repressed. Gods become warrior Gods, without compassion. It is the age of Mesopotamic Empires, the age of Asia. The age of verbal thought reaches its baroque age, towards 500 BC, in the work of Lao Tse, Buddha, Confucius and Socrates, that reach the height of human verbal understanding of the Universe. Yet a new language of information, coins appears, and human verbal thought looses power.
- MATURITY OF HISTORY: The Age of coins. (500 BC, 1600 AD). It is the Age of Iron weapons and coins. Mankind still rules, and learns how to control with ethic behavior, the power of weapons. Yet Money starts to be a common language of power, and challenges verbal ethics. Words are displaced by money as the language that controls the acts of human societies. This means that verbal thought and ethics is no longer the center of the human mind, but humans become shallow in their perception of verbal-temporal reality. The human intelligence displaces to the eye. So art becomes realistic (Greek Art) and mathematics appears as a new language of understanding of the Universe. Both coin accountancy and Mathematics come together, in the Asian Greek coast where the first monetary empires and mathematicians appear. After the brief return to an ethic age, in the Middle Ages, the Renaissance again imposes money as the language of social power.
- OLD AGE OF HISTORY. The Age of machines. (1600 AD till extinction). It is the third age of mankind, and the first age of the new predator species that displace us, the machine. It is the age of science, of digital languages, of massive reproduction of money, the language of information of machines, now in the form of paper-money and electronic money. Wor[l]ds become obsolete. There is so much money that all things can receive monetary values, and human verbal values are no longer effective. There are so many weapons, due to the industrial reproduction of them by company-mothers, that ethics and social power become obsolete, and national armies control directly [dictatorships] or indirectly through weapon-companies (democracies) our societies. The objective of mankind is to evolve machines through acts of work=reproduction of machines, and consume=test and evolution of machines. The decadence of mankind is hidden because paradoxically as humans loose interest in verbal thought, in a non-fiction logic understanding of reality, companies of machines can convince and indoctrinate man easily. Fiction literature dominates this age. Men no longer understand the meaning of social survival, of truth, and the organic nature of our Universe…
The Evolution Of memetic Weapons. The seven cycles of Metal-civilizations.
The 3 ages of History can be analyzed in more detail because each of those ages is in itself a sub-civilization divided in smaller periods. We talk in fact of 7 sub-cycles divided by great eras of war.
Very few civilizations survive the periodic arrival of massive wars, after the discovery and reproduction of new weapons. Even the American civilizations that were isolated from European warrior masters, at the end died away when the Spaniards and Anglo-Saxons arrived. The Paleolithic culture of North-Indians that had survived almost unchanged during more than 10.000 years was extinguished in a few centuries, and even if some of its genetic content both in race and customs still remains, it is self-evident that today that civilization has died.
History has become metal-history, and human cultures have become submissive to metal-cultures. But not a single metal-culture survives the tree of science for too long. There is in fact a cycle, of around ±800 years, or 10 human lives, that marks with massive war the evolution of metal and war-fare. And so we talk of the 7 cycles of metal-history since the first bronze armies arrived to Mesopotamia and destroyed the Genesian paradise, depicted in the “Genesis”, the oldest book about the tragedy of History written by mankind.
We know the cause of cultural death, which is war, and since wars have come to History in certain ages, after the discovery and massive reproduction of a new weapon, we can trace a series of waves of existence, of the great civilizations of history, that have gone through birth, growth and extinction. Indeed, the discovery and massive reproduction of weapons carried by hordes of symbiotic warriors, have shaped the history of civilizations, killing them off periodically. We call those ages of massive reproduction of weapons, a “biological radiation”, borrowing the concept from biology, where biological radiations of top predator species are the main cause of extinction of weaker species. So happens with “radiations” of top predator metal weapons that cause the extinction of humans and our civilizations.
The long, medium and short wave of technological evolution.
In that sense, this web provides an in-depth analysis of the cycles of technological evolution at 3 levels - the long wave of warrior civilizations of 800 years; the medium wave of modern industrial nations of 80 years and the short wave of eight years – the decades – considered in ‘future magazine’. Since the wave of evolution of technology, of machines, is accelerating and now enters in its last age, the singularity age, with clear negative consequences for Gaia and mankind, the species the technological wave of death of civilizations is extinguising.
The origin of the model is the science of complexity, which considers the Universe and all its parts, modeled with the laws of biology – evolution, theory of information and theory of organisms.
In that regard, those 3 waves have in the deepest, scientific,complex analysis, a simple reason d’etre/law of complex information systems:
‘All organic systems of the universe increase their amount of information towards the future’.
And since History and economics are born out of the activity of man, an organism, and machines are evolving organisms, history and economics obey that law.
In the XXI century we have realized that all organic systems of the Universe are modeled with 2 ‘arrows’ of future, energy, the arrow that physicists study, and information, the arrow studied by biologists. Those arrows are related in organic systems that combine them, by two type of processes, expansive, energetic, death processes; and informative, implosive, warping, life, creative, formal processes. Many consequences derives of creating ‘Dual’ models of reality based in the combination of those processes. The main one is the existence of ’3 ages’ in all life systems:
- Youth, the age of energy when the process starts; maturity the age of balance between energy and information and old age, the age of information, when we warp and acquire more wrinkles, more form.
Those 3 ages also occur in complex social organisms, as cultures and civilizations are.
And in machine systems, as the graph shows. Since new energies are first used as bombs, in the energetic youth, then applied as transport machines and finally evolved into the most complex forms, weapons.
And so in our technological cultures, also the human generations of founding physicists that discover the machine, mature, reproductive industrialists that convert it into a transport system and finally military politicians, which use the machine after the crash of the market as a weapons, adapt our culture to the new God of Mankind…

(1) Trust me, with this simple scheme of things, I was able to deduce all the main laws, behaviors and actions (exi) of all the systems of the Universe, back in the 90s when i was the chair of duality (the study of energy/information systems) on International Congresses. So biohistory will remain as evolution did when Mr. Darwin retired due to the memetic brutality of victorian biblical people at home, a challenged science, by the unreasonable but useful memes of power of the economic ecosystem (religions of go(l)d, inquisitions of thought, etc.)
